CareV.E.T. Vision and coherence with European VET objectives


Based on existing work done in other projects and the experience of the partners, the vision document of CareVET project will be prepared. In coherence with the objectives of the Bruges Communiqué on enhanced European cooperation in VET for 2011-2020, the partners will focus on the development of a curriculum that will help learners to acquire knowledge, skills and competences which are essential in working life. According to Bruges Communiqué, by 2020, vocational studies should be easily accessible and practical.

CareV.E.T. Curriculum
Curriculum will include the following, non-addressed before in supportive living domain, learning outcomes:
(a) Therapeutic role playing techniques that has been found to be very helpful for sensory experience and social interaction,
(b) self-advocacy techniques for reducing the isolation of people with disabilities and to give them the tools and experience to take greater control over their own lives.
(c) Social networks developing skills around the beneficiaries with aim the support of their relatives and friends.
(d) monitoring programs and tools intended to improve the physical and mental health of the beneficiaries, using preventive means that provide measurable results,
(e) ambient-assisted living tools, assistive devices, aids and equipment for independent living including terminology and interoperability issues, and
(f) ways to create personalized rules and prevent personal/resident hazardous situations.

CareV.E.T. ICT Platform and open online Course
The elearning platform will offer modern interfaces(HTML5- responsive design) and will be used during the courses, as participants will be able to bring their tablets/ laptops and make notes directly on the platform. The e-learning platform will additionally offer features for distance self-learning and personalization tools and wizards for role playing scenarios design, implementation and tools for the evaluation of the beneficiaries(people with intellectual disabilities).

CareV.E.T.'s sensors toolkit
The toolkit will contain a basic set of different sensors that will simulate a real life installation in a SLR and will help the trainees to capitalize the role and the importance of assisted living technologies to the job curriculum they have chosen to follow. The sensors will include motion detectors, intrusion detectors, temperature and humidity sensors, shock detectors, accelerometers(for movement and falls), flood detectors, heartbeat monitoring sensors, and several other useful wireless sensors that will be commonly decided.

Certification Scheme for the Certification of Assessment (Certification of Assessment leading to job qualification)
This deliverable is necessary for the certification of the assessment. This above scheme will include:
1. The needs analysis
2. The consultation of relevant stakeholders
3. The target group for the certification
4. The profile of the examiners
5. The exam pre-requisites
6. The examination form
7. The sample certificate
8. The certification documents
9. The general validity of the certification

Exploitation plan
The exploitation plan, taking under consideration the results of the evaluation(internal and External), will depict the steps that are to be made towards sustainability and valorization of the final product as well as for further advancment of CareV.E.T.'s innovative aspects.
