CareV.E.T. courses main objective is to extend the offer of high quality learning opportunities, delivering an up-to-date pioneer curriculum in the field of Supported/Assisted Living. Therapeutic Role Playing in Supported Living Care

Unit description:

The purpose of this course is to provide a definition for role-playing and its importance as well as the therapeutic techniques that can be utilized by instructors to support the teaching and learning function of role-playing. Special emphasis is placed on the “designing role plays” section as well as the list of skills that have the potential to be improved by role-playing.

Supporting patients with intellectual disabilities in developing and maintaining Social Networks

Unit description:

The purpose of this course is to familiarize you with the fundamental concepts and principles of the Natural Social Networks so that you may explore them further. We will get to know the key characteristics of those who become involved in the Social Networks and the roles of the persons involved in social networks and how they contribute to improving and facilitating the the life of persons with disabilities. The course will provide you the knowledge and techniques for maintaining a Social Network.

Ambient Assisted Living Tools, terminology and interoperability in the Supported Living Care

Unit description:

You can offer better services to people with disabilities when you have a better understanding of state of the art technologies and services in the market. On this course you’ll learn about how monitoring programs and sensors work, learn about Software as a Service (SaaS) model and “the cloud”, learn about different generations of ambient-assisted living tools, and finally learn to use the CareV.E.T toolkit to create custom rules in a Supported Living Residence (SLR).
